Ir De Vinos

A Story of Love, Wine,
Family & Flavor

The story of De Vinos Winery begins in 1999, when our co-founder Matt Mollet and his parents started their first winery and vineyard here on this property. Matt fell in love with wine-making here - at the Lau-Nae Winery. He found himself bewitched by the way the flavors could be manipulated by simple chemistry.

Then he met me - Cintia Hecht of Cordoba, Argentina. We immediately knew we had many things in common - a love of great wine, an entrepreneurial spirit and a taste for adventure. We married in 2011 and have an amazing daughter, Miranda.

In so many ways, De Vinos represents a new chapter - for our family, for our business and for our future. After a few years away from the winery business, we find ourselves full of new ideas and a fresh perspective. We have so many experiences we want to share with our guests.

In Spanish, the phrase “ir de vinos” means to go wine hopping. When we decided to reopen the winery, we debated names for some time before landing on De Vinos. It suited this new adventure perfectly - and this new winery IS definitely an adventure!

De Vinos is new, and it’s different from what we’ve done before. It’s the perfect blend of the two of us, and we each contribute our own talents. We are both entrepreneurs, but Matt is the wine expert, and I am the designer. He studies wine-making endlessly and chooses every bottle with precision. Meanwhile I laid out and implemented our new interior and exterior designs and created our logo and menus.

Everything here, from the wines to the tapas menu, is a melding of the two of us. With a nod to his American roots and my Argentinian culture and a bit of our own personalities and tastes. We hope our guests are able to see and feel those details - and savor every minute of their time here!

Come, Stay & Unwind
